Mysteries 2: the Teens adventure continues 

We would like to introduce you to Mysteries 2, the Kids&Us English course for teenagers ages 14 to 16 who have a strong command of English.

What does the renewed learning experience in Mysteries 2 include?   

At Kids&Us, we are constantly looking to innovate to offer our students the best possible learning experience: one that is unique, of the highest quality and tailored to each stage of their development.  

To achieve this, we have combined the best of the classroom environment with the best that cutting-edge technology has to offer; in other words, we have retained the core principles of our method whilst adding an extra layer of technological support.

What will the students learn in Mysteries 2? 

n Mysteries 2, the second course in the Teens stage, we continue to support the teenagers at a key moment in their linguistic and personal development. Learning is based on linguistic immersion, games, and activities that are designed to connect with the subjects that the students are truly interested in. Through exciting mystery stories, the students:  

  • Improve their speaking and writing skills. 

  • Enhance their reading skills with texts on topics that interest them. 

  • Face enigmas that spark their curiosity.  

  • Develop critical thinking and creativity.

What materials will the students have in Mysteries 2? 

 We have updated the Mysteries 2 material so that students experience the course in a more dynamic, connected, and effective way.  

Student Book

A story that captivates the students from the very first moment they turn the page and that makes learning one continuous adventure.  

  • The chapters are structured around mysteries that keep students engaged until the end.  

  • Activities in which all language skills are worked on equally: listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and spoken and written expression.  

My Way

A digital environment where learning continues. It will be a fully personalised environment that provides even more value outside the classroom. 

  • It is a digital platform adapted to the pace and level of each student, where course content is practised and consolidated.  

  • It includes interactive cases that students must solve together with the protagonists of the course.  

Readers

New stories that spark the students' interest in reading and help them maintain their connection with English beyond the classroom. 

  • Stand-alone stories that expand the Mysteries universe  

  • An engaging format that encourages a love of reading   

  • Continued learning over the summer 

Students Notebook

A notebook for students to organise their ideas.  

  • This is where students can draft their writing assignments.  

  • It helps develop the ability to structure and communicate ideas in writing.  

  • It serves as supporting material for other activities carried out in the classroom.

Communicating your child’s learning progress   

Reports 

Based on the personalised monitoring of your children in class, you will receive regular reports on their learning progress.  

Parent-teacher meetings 

The families can request parent-teacher meetings to discuss matters with teachers on a more personal basis; the school may also arrange these meetings if it wishes to discuss any issues with you.   

My Kids

The My Kids application is the main channel of communication between the school and families. On this app, you may see your child’s academic information and reports, as well as request parent-teacher meetings.. 

Kids Test 

Before the end of the course, the students take the Kids Test 4, where we assess their communication skills in English at the end of the Mysteries course module.
